As fire is a combustion phenomenon that a material gets burned with light, heat, and/or flame within the air or oxygen, generally, it means such burning phenomenon creating heat, smoke, and flame. Especially, the flame shows such unique combustion feature from the beginning of the fire. Among these features, there is such wavelength range existing differently each other between UV (Ultraviolet Rays) and IR (Infrared Rays) that is not able to be recognized by human eyes.
CS-UIEX-01 Flame Sensor combines the UV sensor that perceives UV wavelength characteristic (185 ~ 260nm) and the IR sensor that perceives IR wavelength characteristic (4.3§­) so the UV/IR Flame Sensor has been organized. Since UV/IR Flame Sensor perceives only narrow wavelength bandwidth as the above, such errors and malfunction for other various non-fire factors in the surroundings have been minimized. Also, because high sensitivity sensor is used, the maximum sensitivity with the minimum current consumption has been realized. As the function to recognize fire flame has been enhanced, such reliability of fire detection has been improved.
Also, current output (0-20mA) and serial (RS-485) communication output are possible in order to possibly organize network. As such remote control module has been equipped inside the sensor firstly in Korea, it is easy to check the status of operation and contamination on the spot so maintenance is also easy.

Malfunction and error for other light sources have been minimized since time delay data and sensitivity upon the size of flame in case of fire have been programmed inside the MICOM.

It is possible to set up various ranges to perceive based on the compact design and such free conversion of the directions as upper, lower, right, and left.
It is also possible to select various locations to install such as ceiling and corner of walls.
It is convenient for additional installation and management.
F. Convenience of Maintenance
It is easy to check any problem of the product based on the self-diagnosis function. Since it is also possible to check the status of the sensor through remote control, such maintenance is easy.
G. Communication Circuitry
Since the serial communication circuitry (RS-485) is equipped, it is possible to confirm the self diagnosis function through Micom. Also, if such network through program is organized, it is possible to promptly grasp various information such as location, current status, individual product history, and operation history of the sensor. H. Compatibility with the Existing Reception set
It is compatible with R-type and P-type reception set that are currently distributed in the market.
